Tanisha Kuykendall graduated twice from Grand Valley State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting (Minor in Hospitality and Tourism Management) and in 2017, a Masters of Education with an emphasis in Student Affairs and Leadership. Starting her career as a financial aid Counselor, Tanisha led FAFSA workshops on GVSU’s campus and in the community to prepare high school students for college.

 

She is currently the Student Engagement Specialist for TRIO Student Support Services at GVSU. In this role, she assists First-Generation and limited income students with the necessary skills and resources as they persist towards graduation. Tanisha enjoys planning events and workshops to engage her students and campus community. With her technology and hospitality and tourism management experience, Tanisha has joined the OSI team to assist with conferences and off-site events.
